Epee

We teach all 3 types of Olympic fencing: epee, foil, saber and focus on one each week at camp.  There is no ‘best’ one to start with and most skills learned in one translate to the others.  Fencers with no experience can start in any week of camp.

Students learn footwork, bladework and fencing tactics in a fun and safe environment. In addition to drills and bouting they will participate in a variety of fencing activities and games to re-enforce the actions and strategies of fencing and to increase co-ordination and balance. This is an active camp, but fencing is not solely a physical sport and many kids enjoy the metal challenge it also has to offer.
